What is the best foundation or make up to use with the Metrin Skincare System?

While some of our Metrin customers have reported they stopped using their foundations since they started using Metrin Skincare, we understand that this isn’t an option for everyone.  We recommend using a mineral based make-up.

What exactly is mineral based make up? 

Mineral make up is composed of, finely crushed minerals, that does not get absorbed into your skin, but rather sits on top of your skin. And not just any minerals, but naturally derived ingredients that are good for your skin. It is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, meaning they don’t clog pores or cause breakouts and can be used on sensitive skin, acne prone skin, rosacea and eczema prone skin. Most mineral based foundations have a natural sunscreen as a main ingredient: Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide or both. Suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin or rosacea, these natural sunscreen ingredients (which also have anti-inflammatory properties and a calming effect on the skin). 

We recommend using mineral based foundations from Bare Minerals, Urban Decay, IT cosmetics and Clinique cosmetics along with the Metrin Skincare System. When applying foundations and make up, its very important to apply after using the Metrin Skincare System. This layering not only protects and nourishes your skin, but also aids in the smooth application and adhesion of your foundation and make up after the skin is properly cleansed. And of course, always remove your foundation and make up properly using the gentle yet powerful double cleanse method. Lastly, when applying any foundation or make up, keep your brushes and sponges and anything that touches your face, clean. Your skin will love you for it!
